OQEANIA ON MANAGING REMOTE AGILE TEAMS ACROSS TIME ZONES
One of the most significant challenges Oqeania faced was managing a 30-member Agile team across multiple locations and time zones during 2021-2023. As the Product Owner, she had to balance the demands of the client and her team's needs, often being available for 12 hours a day to unblock issues. Despite the logistical challenges, Oqeania succeeded by focusing on clear communication, team motivation, and maintaining a strong partnership with the client. Her experience underscores the importance of adaptability, continuous learning, and a relentless focus on the end result in managing large, distributed teams.
OQEANIA ON BALANCING LEADERSHIP AND PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
At just 28, Oqeania took on the dual role of being a leader in her professional life while also acting as a caregiver in her personal life.
