NADIA AS A LEADER

Success to me means living a life aligned with my values, continuously learning and growing, and impacting others positively. It's about creating environments where diversity is not just encouraged but embraced as a strength. My journey has taught me that true leadership involves humility, learning from every situation, and supporting others to grow.

Leadership is not management.

Great Leaders have an inclusive leadership mindset.

The future of leadership is trust, transparency, inclusion.

When I think of a leader, I think of the future.

NADIA ON WORK-LIFE BALANCE

Nadia emphasizes the importance of balancing work and personal life to maintain mental health and well-being. She manages her work-life balance through simple but effective measures: walking with her dog by the lake and spending quality time with her husband and kids. These activities provide her with the necessary breaks and emotional support to recharge and navigate the demands of her role. Her family also plays a crucial role in ensuring she takes time off, preventing her from becoming a workaholic.

NADIA ON OVERCOMING BIAS

One of the most significant challenges Nadia faced in her career was dealing with bias in the workplace, which led to missed promotion opportunities. To tackle this, she adopted two strategies: finding better companies that offered leadership positions and eventually founding her own company, Witty. This startup focuses on detecting bias in large language models, aligning with her mission to create a fair and just workplace. Nadia’s perseverance and willingness to step out of her comfort zone allowed her to overcome these obstacles and pursue her vision for a more inclusive workplace.

THE DIFFERENT STATIONS I HAD HAVE TAUGHT ME ABOUT PEOPLE, THEIR PERSPECTIVES, AND CULTURES. I HAVE ALSO LEARNED NOT TO GET FIXED INTO MY OWN OPINIONS AND TO DISCARD MY CULTURAL BACKGROUND IN ORDER TO BE MORE OPEN TO OTHER IDEAS.
