Lara's leadership style is rooted in her commitment to fostering a supportive corporate culture and developing the next generation of leaders. By combining her corporate experience with innovative leadership development programs, she aims to inspire others to achieve their goals and make a positive impact.
Leadership is not a title, a six/seven-figure salary or bonus, a corner office, or a right.
Great Leaders combine vision, courage, authenticity, and empathy to achieve goals.
The future of leadership is already here.
When I think of a leader, I’m thinking of my junior high-school math teacher, Mrs. Echono, who got those of us who hated or were afraid of math to understand it and work at it to pull our grades up.
IT’S NOT A SHAME TO SAY SORRY. ADMITTING WHEN YOU’RE WRONG SHOWS BRAVERY AND BUILDS TRUST.

LARA ON OVERCOMING BURNOUT AND FINDING BALANCE
Lara’s journey to maintaining work-life balance involved learning from the experience of burnout. Working up to 18 hours a day consistently led to burnout, impacting her self-worth and causing negative thoughts. She discovered that interspersing work with non-work activities during the day helped maintain her mental health. Lara starts her day with a short gym session, listens to podcasts or documentaries at the office, schedules catch-ups with friends, and ends the day with another gym session. This routine helps her manage stress and maintain a healthy balance between work and personal life.
LARA ON SUPPORTING FUTURE LEADERS THROUGH MENTORSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
Lara actively supports the next generation of leaders through mentorship and innovative leadership development programs. Since 2018, she has been a mentor at Regent’s University London, guiding young adults to understand their values, goals, and career decisions. In 2022, she co-developed The CEO Maker™ with her business partner, Rajeev Daswani. This empathy-based, business-focused leadership accelerator takes a coaching-consulting approach to leadership and team development. The program includes assessments, self-awareness training, and guidance to develop leadership traits, helping participants understand their impact on colleagues and customers.
BEING A LEADER IS NOT ABOUT A POSITION, IT’S MORE ABOUT UNDERSTANDING YOUR EMPLOYEES, THEIR REQUIREMENTS, AND NEEDS FOR DEVELOPMENT AND SKILLS THAT WILL ALLOW THEM TO REACH THEIR POTENTIAL.
