JINA AS A LEADER

JINA ON WORK-LIFE BALANCE AND MENTAL HEALTH

Jina balances her demanding career as a working mother of two by incorporating regular exercise and unwinding with historical documentaries. When negative feelings arise, she turns to meditation and practices centering techniques to maintain perspective. Jinaโ€™s focus on kindness and recognizing interconnected experiences helps her manage stress and stay grounded, demonstrating the importance of self-care and mindfulness in effective leadership.

JINA ON OVERCOMING CHALLENGES

Starting out in international development without clear guidance or support was one of Jinaโ€™s biggest challenges. She navigated this uncertainty by moving to Washington, D.C., and working as a receptionist, where she met a former diplomat who hired her for his consultancy firm. This opportunity led her to entry-level programs in international development, eventually landing her first job in the field. Jinaโ€™s resilience and determination in the face of the unknown highlight her ability to turn challenges into opportunities and carve her own path to success.
