JINA ON WORK-LIFE BALANCE AND MENTAL HEALTH
Jina balances her demanding career as a working mother of two by incorporating regular exercise and unwinding with historical documentaries. When negative feelings arise, she turns to meditation and practices centering techniques to maintain perspective. Jina’s focus on kindness and recognizing interconnected experiences helps her manage stress and stay grounded, demonstrating the importance of self-care and mindfulness in effective leadership.
JINA ON OVERCOMING CHALLENGES
Starting out in international development without clear guidance or support was one of Jina’s biggest challenges. She navigated this uncertainty by moving to Washington, D.C., and working as a receptionist, where she met a former diplomat who hired her for his consultancy firm. This opportunity led her to entry-level programs in international development, eventually landing her first job in the field. Jina’s resilience and determination in the face of the unknown highlight her ability to turn challenges into opportunities and carve her own path to success.
