HANNAH ON DECISION-MAKING
Hannah emphasizes the importance of nuance in leadership, a skill often overshadowed by the need for quick decision-making. She believes that the ability to balance and nuance strategic decisions is critical for connecting with the bigger picture and leading people and organizations through challenging times. "We tend to oversimplify the way we see the world and the business. But we need long-term and complex thinking to connect with the bigger picture," she asserts. This approach allows leaders to consider various perspectives, fostering a more inclusive and holistic decision-making process that can better address the complexities of modern challenges.
HANNAH ON PEOPLE-PLEASING AS A LEADER
One of Hannah's significant personal and professional challenges has been overcoming the tendency to be a people pleaser. She acknowledges that this trait restrained her from asserting her vision earlier in her career. "The biggest challenge for me was to stop being a people pleaser. It still is to be honest," she admits. To tackle this, she engaged in therapy, coaching, and gained valuable experience over time. By sharing her journey, Hannah highlights the importance of self-awareness and personal growth in leadership. She underscores that true leadership comes with taking responsibility and making tough decisions, even if they are unpopular. This shift from seeking approval to confidently asserting her vision has been instrumental in her development as a leader.
