Geovanny Vicente-Romero is a columnist for CNN, political strategist, consultant, and lecturer based in Washington, D.C. He teaches at Columbia University and at Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School. Geovanny is a recognized leader in political communication, democracy, governance, and human rights. He founded the Dominican Republic Center of Public Policy, Development, and Leadership (CPDL-RD). Vicente-Romero holds a master's degree from The George Washington University and is a PhD candidate at the University of Murcia, Spain. He is committed to social inclusion and mentoring the next generation of leaders, contributing to more equitable governance globally.

Moving to the United States without knowing English was one of the most significant challenges in Geovanny's career. This language barrier did not deter him; instead, it became a motivator to achieve his dreams. He established a learning plan, immersed himself in the language, and surrounded himself with native speakers. This experience taught him the importance of resilience, dedication, and continuous learning. Overcoming this challenge has been instrumental in his professional growth, allowing him to connect with diverse audiences and contribute meaningfully to his community.
