Elena Yaneva co-founded Hempstatic with the aim of transforming the building materials sector through innovative uses of hemp-based biocomposites. Starting her journey with a passion for fairies and magical transformations, she now channels that creativity into developing sustainable construction solutions. Her work at Hempstatic is dedicated to advancing industrial symbioses between agriculture and construction, pushing the boundaries of eco-friendly building practices. With a background in civil engineering from TU Wien, Elena is leading efforts to not only innovate in her field but also to address gender imbalances in the traditionally male-dominated sectors of construction and manufacturing.
