DEBORAH AS A LEADER
Deborah's leadership philosophy is that everyone is born a leader, though not everyone chooses to embrace this inherent potential. She believes that leadership is a deliberate choice and commitment to oneself and others.
Leadership is not one size fits all', it's 'all in'. There is no leader without a team.
Great leaders are active listeners.
The future of leadership is women.
When I think of a leader, I think of women willing to go outside their comfort zone, to create a more equitable world.
THE GREATEST LEADERS ARE OFTEN NOT THE LOUDEST PERSON IN THE ROOM, THEY'RE THE BEST AT LISTENING.

DEBORAH ON REDEFINING LEADERSHIP FOR WOMEN OF COLOR
Reflecting on her journey, Deborah shares insights on how she initially perceived leadership as a responsibility for those with more age, privilege, power, or experience. She realized that leadership is about personal conviction, connection, and commitment to oneself and to creating a world where everyone has dignity.
LEADERSHIP BEGINS WITH GOOD SELF LEADERSHIP. ARE WE LISTENING TO OUR LIMITS? ARE WE CHEERING OURSELVES ON, BEYOND THE PULL OF ANY LIMITING BELIEF?
