ANETA AS A LEADER
Success to me is not measured in traditional terms but by personal growth and fulfillment. I'm driven by the purpose behind my actions and the positive impact of our work at Moonshot Pirates. My philosophy includes embracing vulnerabilities, fostering teamwork, and promoting innovation as we prepare the next generation to tackle global challenges with a mindset of endless possibilities.
Leadership is not about being in charge but about taking care of those in your charge.
Great Leaders inspire and empower others to exceed their own expectations.
The future of leadership is inclusive, adaptive, and driven by a purpose that transcends individual ambitions for the greater good.
When I think of a leader, I think of someone who listens more than they speak and acts more than they direct.
FEEL THE FEAR AND DO IT ANYWAY.

ANETA ON OVERCOMING IMPOSTOR SYNDROME
One of the most persistent challenges I faced in my career has been battling imposter syndrome, particularly as someone from abroad with language barriers. When I started, my command of German was far from perfect, and being an outsider in a new culture intensified my feelings of not belonging. These factors often led me to question my abilities and my place in professional settings.
To overcome these challenges, I focused on proving my value through action—working harder, showing up consistently, and delivering results, no matter the fear or discomfort. I adopted the mantra "feel the fear and do it anyway," which pushed me to take on opportunities that stretched my capabilities and forced me to grow. Embracing these experiences helped me to gradually build confidence and establish my space within the industry. It taught me that overcoming such obstacles lies in persistent effort and the willingness to step out of one's comfort zone, despite the internal and external voices of doubt.
ANETA ON VULNERABILITY AS A LEADER
One of the hardest things is to show vulnerability in front of your team. Traditional leadership models emphasize strength and often discourage admitting uncertainty or personal struggles. But being vulnerable means accepting that you don't always have all the answers and being open about the challenges you face. Another challenge is making sure that kindness is not seen as weakness. Striking a balance between being kind and supportive while making tough decisions that may not please everyone requires patience, the ability to reflect, and sometimes tough skin. This kind of leadership takes effort, but it's worth it.
POOR LEADERSHIP AND JOBS THAT LACKED A CLEAR PURPOSE TAUGHT ME HOW I DO NOT WANT TO LEAD.
